Clouds cover Chandigarh, neighbouring states

Overcast conditions and a fall in temperature Friday forced the residents of Chandigarh and neighbouring states of Punjab and Haryana to take out their woollens.

“Clouds are prevailing all across the region. Met department has predicted isolated rainfall at some places in the coming days,” Chandigarh meteorological centre director Chatar Singh Malik told IANS.

Minimum temperature in Chandigarh was recorded at 14 degrees Celsius Friday.

In Punjab, the minimum temperatures in Ludhiana and Patiala cities were recorded at 11.4 degrees Celsius and 12.3 degrees Celsius respectively, whereas, the lowest in Amritsar was recorded at 12.2 degrees Celsius.

In Haryana, minimum temperatures at Ambala and Hisar towns were recorded at 12 degrees Celsius and 16.3 degrees Celsius Friday.
