Trinamool alleges Mamata's phones tapped

West Bengal's main opposition Trinamool Congress Saturday wrote to Union Home Minister P.Chidamabaram alleging that Communist Party of India-Marxist-led West Bengal government had ordered tapping of phones of party chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and other functionaries.

Leader of the opposition in the state assembly Partha Chatterjee told mediapersons that an additional commissioner of police has been given the task to tap the phones.

Trinamool leader and Minister of state for Shipping Mukul Roy wrote to Chidambaram, alleging that the state government was misusing surveillance powers provided to it by the central government.
