India thrashed Kuwait 3-0 in their last Group C match of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-19 qualifiers at Arbil in Iraq.

At the Francouse Al Hareeri Stadium Sunday night, Fela scored a brace while skipper Jeje struck once to humiliate Kuwait, according to information received here. With this win, India finished fourth in the six-team group while hosts Iraq and Saudi Arabia qualified for the main round.

India were on the look out right from the start and mid-fielder Lalrindika had the first shot at goal in the second minute but it was saved well by goalkeeper Abdul Ghafoor.

India took the lead in the sixth minute after Jeje's powerful right-footer crashed into the net.

India came close to increase the lead in the 45th min but Lalrindika's attempt was again saved by Ghafoor. But minutes later, Fela tapped in a free-kick from Milan Singh as India went into the break with a 2-0 lead. Fela completed his brace at the hour-mark to make it 3-0 for India.
