India will seek Headley's extradition: home secretary

India will seek access for the interrogation and extradition of US national and terror suspect David Coleman Headley after the National Investigation Agency (NIA) completes its probe into his links with the 26/11 attack.

"National Investigation Agency has been investigating. They will continue and will seek access for interrogation and extradition of Headley," Home Secretary G.K. Pillai told reporters here.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has chargesheeted Headley, alias Daood Gilani, for conducting "extensive surveillance of targets in Mumbai for more than two years" preceding the 26/11 terrorist attack in Mumbai in which 166 people were killed.
