The two shared an emotional moment after the show host Kunal Kemmu asked Sohail Khan how he felt seeing his ex-wife there. Sohail, who had entered the show a few days earlier, responded warmly as the former couple appeared under one roof as contestants.

The moment drew a strong reaction inside the house. Actor Kushal Tandon and other contestants whistled, clapped and hooted after Sohail spoke about Seema. The exchange quickly became one of the main talking points around Seema's entry into the show.

Kunal asked, "Sohail bhai, aapse poocchna chahenge ki aapko inko (Seema Sajdeh) ko yaha dekh kar kaisa lag raha hai (I would like to ask you how it feels to see Seema Sajdeh here)?".

Responding to the same, Sohail said, "Lovely, I have lived with this beautiful lady for 25 years. Let me admit on national television that if there was any mistake between us, I take the onus and the responsibility".

The couple married in 1998 and parted ways in 2022. They co-parent their two sons, Nirvaan and Yohaan. Over time, however, they grew apart and reportedly began living separately before officially filing for divorce in 2022, ending a marriage of nearly 24 years.

Despite their separation, Sohail and Seema have maintained an amicable relationship and continue to co-parent their children. Both have publicly stated that there is no bitterness between them and have emphasised mutual respect and family as their shared priority.

The actor, 62, recently reflected on his time on Full House, and shared how he looked forward to getting to work with Bob Saget and Dave Coulier on the family series because both of them had backgrounds in stand-up, reports 'People' magazine.

The actor recently made an appearance on 'Bobby Bones Presents: The Bobbycast', and said, "I love stand-up comedy. I'm obsessed with stand-up comedy".

He further mentioned, "I try to befriend any great comic out there. I can't do it, but I'm fascinated by the structure, how you guys construct a joke, the science, the math behind the economy of words. I'm just fascinated by it. So getting to work with those guys was incredible from that standpoint".

As per 'People', the actor had a harder time with the lack of focus on craft on the set, as he said, "All they really cared about was making the crew laugh. I was coming from, I just did a show with Jack Klugman, who's a famous sitcom guy, and so I was coming to it with more of an actor's point of view of these scenes and trying to work these scenes. And the guys were just trying to make the guys, the crew, laugh and whatever that was about".

It particularly created frustrations for Stamos when it came to Saget, as he said, "It was distracting for a lot of it, and we didn't get along at all for the first couple of years".

That would eventually change in the show's third year, after Stamos, Coulier and Saget were bonded by heartbreaking circumstances. "Bob's sister got scleroderma, which he spent the rest of his life advocating and raising money for this horrific disease. Dave's sister got cancer, and my sister was diagnosed with a brain tumor. And so all of a sudden, we weren't three guys on a show. We were three brothers grieving our sisters", he added.

Bob Saget was found dead at the age of 65 on January 9 in his hotel room at The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes in Florida.

Mumbai, July 8 (IANS) In the latest episode of 'Lock Upp 2', contestant Pamela Serena was seen playfully teasing Ram Kapoor that Madhuri Grover fancies him.

In the latest episode of the reality show that was dropped on Netflix on Wednesday, Pamela was heard telling Ram Kapoor, "I know, like I 100% know, Madhuri Ji fancies you. She has a crush on you. At night, she comes and pretends to have a conversation."

In a light-hearted moment, she further pointed out that whenever Madhuri talks to Ram, she maintains eye contact.

When Pam asked Ram if he also felt something, the 'Bade Achhe Lagte Hain' actor denied.

However, Dheeraj Dhoopar also joined Pameela to tease Ram, saying that even he felt it too, and hence would sleep when Madhuri would come to their cell to talk to Ram.

Mumbai, July 8 (IANS) Actor Vicky Kaushal shared a fun incident of when he first met Hrithik Roshan during his appearance on the chat show 'Too Much with Kajol and Twinkle'.

Vicky said that when he learned that his father, Sham Kaushal, was working with Hrithik, he requested him to introduce him to the 'Koi Mil Gaya' actor.

However, his father told him that Hrithik only meets with those kids who can perform the hook steps to the 'Ek Pal Ka Jeena' track from 'Kaho Naa....Pyaar Hain'.

Recalling the fanboy moment, Vicky was heard saying, "I am still such a huge fan of Hrithik Roshan. So, his first film, 'Kaho Naa....Pyaar Hain' had come out, and everybody, like every kid in the country, was mad about him. Mumbai, July 8 (IANS) Actor Maniesh Paul remembered his late mother in a heartfelt post on Instagram. He shared that as he said his final goodbye to his mother on Wednesday, the world felt quieter.

However, he assured that he will be carrying the love, strength, and kindness left behind by his mother with him always.

Sharing some memorable pictures with his mom on Instagram, Maniesh wrote, "Today, the world feels quieter. This morning, I said goodbye to my mother—my first home, my greatest comfort, and the strongest woman I've ever known. (sic)."

"No words can truly capture what you've meant to me or the emptiness you've left behind. But I carry your love, your strength, your kindness, and every lesson you gave me. They will stay with me for the rest of my life. I hope you're at peace now," he added.

"Thank you for loving me the way only a mother can. Until we meet again. Love you forever and ever (sic)", concluded the emotional post.

Maniesh's mother passed away at the age of 77 in Delhi on Wednesday.

The actor's team shared the unfortunate news, saying, "With great grief, we regret to inform you that actor Maniesh Paul lost his 77-year-old mother today in Delhi. We request you to please pray for the departed soul. May she rest in eternal peace".

Maniesh likes to keep his personal life away from the public domain. He is married to his childhood friend Sanyukta Paul. The couple has two children- a daughter, Saisha, and a son, Yuvann.

On Mother's Day this year, the actor shared a lovely Instagram post that included a photo of Maniesh with his mother. He further uploaded a still of his wife, Sanyukta Paul, and their children.

Mumbai, July 8 (IANS) Shah Rukh Khan recalled his 'not too pleasant' first meeting with Kajol during their appearance on 'The Kapil Sharma Show'.

SRK remembered that they were shooting for 'Baazigar' on 1st January and he was absolutely hungover. On the other hand, Kajol, who is used to sleeping early, was extremely energetic, something which Shah Rukh found annoying.

He shared, "When I met Kajol, I met her on the set of Baazigar. It was 31st December and all of us were very tensed. We were shooting on the morning of the 1st."

"I have a rule. You must work on the 1st of January, whether you are capable of doing it or not. So I came on the set, but all of us were very tense. But Kajol sleeps very early. She is a very proper and good girl. And she was very energetic in the morning. She was very energetic."

After seeing that Shah Rukh is not talking much, Kajol had even asked one of the make-up artists, "Your hero is very quiet. Doesn't he talk?"

King Khan further revealed that he was so annoyed with Kajol that he had decided that he would never work with her again.

"This is aimed at ensuring that today's youth and our coming generations know about the unspeakable tragedy and repression unleashed by the then Congress governments against Bhai Jaswant Singh Khalra and thousands of other innocent Sikh youth who were eliminated through fake encounters," Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal said in a statement.

"This film ('Satluj') presents the agony of Punjab during that phase. The Sikh youth was going through profound religious stress following the horrendous and unforgivable attack on Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib and Sri Akal Takht Sahib."

Later in October-November that year, countless innocent Sikhs were subjected to an unprecedented massacre in New Delhi and several other parts of the country.

"Now, the Punjabis, especially the Sikhs are being stopped from recalling and recording that era in the form of history," the Akali Dal said.

"Accordingly, I direct every worker, every office-bearer and every leader of the Shiromani Akali Dal to stream this film ('Satluj') in every nook and corner of every village, town and city of Punjab," Badal added.

Meanwhile, Union Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu said that allegations by certain politicians regarding the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) or the Central government's role in the removal of "Satluj" film from the OTT platform "are baseless, misleading and devoid of facts".

He added that it is important to place the issue in its proper context.

"The events depicted in the film took place during a period when both the government of Punjab and the government of India were led by the Congress. Therefore, any attempt to attribute developments surrounding the film or its portrayal of that period to the BJP is "politically motivated" and "factually untenable"," Bittu said in Jalandhar.

He added that the government certification and regulatory provisions relating to films primarily apply to theatrical releases, while satellite television and cable broadcasts are governed under separate statutory and regulatory frameworks.

He said that attributing the removal of "Satluj" from ZEE5 to the BJP or the Central government has no factual or legal basis.

Gaurav will be seeing Akanksha for the first time since she announced that they are headed for a divorce on the very first day of 'Lock Upp 2'.

Akanksha had shared that she and Gaurav have been living separately for the past year.

She revealed, "Gaurav Khanna and I are getting divorced. We have been living separately for the past one year. People don't know about this yet. This is a decision we have both taken. We have been talking about it for the past one year."

Mumbai, July 8 (IANS) Punjabi actress Neeru Bajwa used social media to express her disappointment regarding the removal of Diljit Dosanjh's 'Satluj' from the OTT platform, that too, only after 2 days after its release.

Neeru, who has worked with Diljit in many movies, pointed out that the audience has the right to make their own choice if they wish to support a movie or criticize it.

She further said that the viewers deserve an explanation as to why the movie was suddenly pulled from the OTT platform.

Neeru wrote on her Instagram Stories, "I watched Satluj, emotions are definitely stirred. A film is more than entertainmentâ€"it’s the voice of its creators, their passion, their truth, and years of hard work. No one should have the power to silence that without accountability (sic)."

"Whether people choose to support a film or criticize it should be their decision. Taking away that choice from the audience is unfair. We deserve the right to watch it, think for ourselves, and decide what it means to us.

If Satluj has been pulled, then the public deserves honesty. We deserve a clear explanationâ€"not silence. Transparency isn’t a privilege; it’s a responsibility," she added.

The 'Jatt & Juliet' actress said that as Punjabis, they have the right to ask questions if the stories from their homeland are withheld from them.

"We aren’t asking for special treatmentâ€"we’re asking for the truth, for fairness, and for the freedom to experience a film and form our own opinions. Our voices matter. Our stories matter. And the truth matters," concluded the post.

On Tuesday, Neeru penned another social media post saying that she felt it was extremely unfair that 'Satluj' was taken off from the OTT platform before she had a chance to witness the movie.

"As a proud Punjabi, I feel deeply betrayed and disappointed that Satluj was taken off. Stories that reflect our culture and identity deserve to be seen, not silenced. This decision feels unjust and heartbreaking for our community," she had posted.

After fighting a long battle against censorship, 'Satluj' was finally released on ZEE5. However, the movie was taken down in India only 2 days after its release.

In fact, the actor had disclosed earlier that 'Swayambhu' draws inspiration from the Sengol, an ancient emblem that represents righteous governance, justice, and moral authority.

Speaking about the core idea of the film, Nikhil had said, "Swayambhu is a story derived from a very special and very unique aspect of Indian history which is the history of Sengol. We all popularly know Sengol as something that was carried by honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the inauguration of Indian Parliament and is installed in the new parliament building. Chennai, July 8 (IANS) The makers of director Krishnakumar Ramakumar's eagerly awaited period film, 'GDN', featuring actor Madhavan in the lead, on Wednesday released the first single from the film -- a pulsating track called 'The Rise of GDN', much to the delight of fans and film buffs.

Taking to its social media timelines to share the first single, production house Dharma Productions wrote, "Turn up the volume. The rise begins now! #TheRiseOfGDN is out now!"

The pulsating number is a motivational track that is bound inspire its listeners. Set to tune by Govind Vasantha, the song has lyrics by Senthuzhan and has been rendered by Maalavika Sundar, Jaxk, Senthuzhan.

For the unaware, 'GDN' is a biopic of iconic Indian inventor, agriculturist and philanthropist G D Naidu.

The trailer of the film was recently launched at a special event organised at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore, which is also the hometown of the legendary inventor.

The trailer released begins with a person saying G D Naidu, in his old age, had gone mad, as he had bombed his own building. The trailer then shows an Englishman asking, "Who the hell is this fakir?"

It is then that GD Naidu's character is introduced with flair. His detractors are jealous he is making millions through his transport system UMS. We also realise that he has started a polytechnic engineering college.

The trailer shows actor Jayaram playing a very vicious character called Krishnan with power. He asks, "GDN charges huge amounts as fees but does he find paying tax a bitter pill to swallow?"

The British realise that GDN is working within the system and that his books are clean. However, his rivals are intent on thwarting his fame and success by hook or crook. Vinay Rai's character is seen telling an English official, "Soil the books."

Those in power try to restrict GDN's growth by levelling trumped up charges against him. Jayaram's character is seen ordering cops to search GDN's premises claiming they had got information that GDN had developed machines for printing counterfeit currency.

Eventually, we get to know from the trailer that GDN was an honest tax payer who was paying all his taxes on time and that he began questioning the government only when they began levying taxes unjustly on him.

The trailer then shows the British government bringing treason charges against GDN, saying that he was doing business with the Nazis and that this was against the interests of the crown.

Krishnan's character threatens saying that GDN will not be allowed even one peaceful night's sleep from that point on. The trailer ends with Aditi Balan's character summing up the courage of GDN.

She says," If the story of a hunt is written by the lion without the hunter in it, then the meaning of courage itself will change."

The film, apart from Madhavan, also features Jayaram, Priyamani, Dushara Vijayan, Sathyaraj, Aditi Balan, Vijay Rai in pivotal roles. The film has music by Govind Vasantha and cinematography by Aravind Kamalanathan.

Bittu also categorically clarified that his concern is not about suppressing any film, but about ensuring that Punjab's history is presented in its entirety rather than through a one-sided narrative. He maintained that any discussion on the years of militancy must acknowledge not only allegations against the state but also the immense suffering inflicted by terrorism on thousands of innocent civilians, police personnel, public servants, elected representatives and ordinary families.

He reiterated that militancy has no religion and that violence must never be glorified or associated with any community or faith. He emphasised that Punjab's history should be examined through facts, verified records and historical context rather than selective narratives or political propaganda.

He further said the government led by former Chief Minister Beant Singh inherited a Punjab devastated by years of terrorism, with its foremost responsibility being the restoration of peace, law and order, and democratic governance. The return of normalcy, revival of democratic institutions and restoration of public confidence remain an integral part of that historical period and deserve equal recognition, he said.

Bittu said the BJP believes that history can and should be debated in a democratic society. However, such discussions must be based on facts, evidence and balanced historical perspective rather than misinformation or attempts to create political controversy.

Speaking about the false sexual allegation case, Hina called out Shilpa Shinde for her hypocrisy, stating that while she conveniently told her side of the story during her appearance on 'Bigg Boss', she failed to mention that she had filed a false case against the producer of her show.

Hina, who was with Shilpa in the 'Bigg Boss' house, was heard saying, "She said everything in Bigg Boss. She said, 'This happened to me, this went wrong with me, everything went wrong with me, the makers ruined my life', did she say even once that in return, she filed a sexual assault case against the producer? Los Angeles, July 8 (IANS) Hollywood actor Tom Holland has shed light on his latest role in the upcoming fantasy epic, 'The Odyssey' helmed by Christoper Nolan.

The 30-year-old actor, who portrays Odysseus' (Matt Damon) only son Telemachus in the film, said the role marks the start "of a new chapter of my life" as he enters his thirties and moves on to playing older characters, reports 'People' magazine.

He told the BBC, "The thing that I love the most is that it feels a little bit like the last chance for me to play a boy".

The 'Spider-Man' star said playing the role of Telemachus made him reflect on masculinity and what that looks like to a boy growing into a man.

As per 'People', the movie also marks the first time Holland has appeared in a Nolan film.

He said, "Before you've worked with him, you think about it a lot and you yearn for that opportunity and then you get the opportunity and that comes with a lot of pressure".

The actor appears alongside a star-studded cast in 'The Odyssey'. As well as Matt Damon, 55, the likes of Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, Lupita Nyong'o, Robert Pattinson and Holland's wife and 'Spider-Man' co-star, Zendaya, who plays the goddess Athena, are all among the cast.

In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, Tom revealed that Nolan, 55, had the idea to cast Zendaya in the role.

He said, "It was such a gift because I know how much she's admired Chris. Interstellar is her favorite movie. (Nolan asked me), 'Do you mind if I ask you a question, and please don't be offended by my asking' … and he went, 'Would you be offended if I asked Zendaya to play Athena?' The actor then shared that he surprised his wife with the news. 'The Odyssey' is set to release in cinemas on July 17, 2026.

Los Angeles, July 8 (IANS) Filmmaker Christopher Nolan has revealed why Matt Damon got a tattoo on his arm. The filmmaker, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film 'The Odyssey', has said that the reason behind the actor getting a tattoo is that the latter thought his "bare bicep days were over".

The 55-year-old actor stars in Sir Christopher Nolan's Greek epic 'The Odyssey' as Odysseus and while the director had despaired at the "nightmare" of covering all the supporting cast's body art, he thought it would be much easier with his lead, only to discover he has a "tasteful" inking of wife Luciana's name along with those of their daughters Alexia, 27, Isabella, 20, Gia, 17, and Stella, 15, in cursive script at the top of his arm, reports 'Female First UK'.

Christopher told Amy Poehler on her Good Hang podcast, "I had a moment with him at his first wardrobe fitting because we'd be fitting all of the supporting cast, all the guys who play his crew and some younger actors and everything, and they all come in and they've all got tattoos. Which is a nightmare for a period film".

He further mentioned, "It means hours of make-up. You have to cover all that up and then put the costume on, and then rain and wind and the costume will rub it away. (Matt) takes his shirt off at the fitting, and he's got a f****** tattoo. And I was like, 'Not you as well'. Like, what?".

However, Nolan was understanding when he heard Matt's explanation. He recalled, "He said to me, 'Well, if I'm to be perfectly honest, I thought my bare bicep days were over'. And I said, 'Okay. Fair enough. The truth is, I think they're just beginning'".

As per 'Female First UK, Matt had to spend "a little extra time in the chair" throughout the shoot, but the director wouldn't have had anyone else play Odysseus.

He said, "He's in exactly the right place in his time of life. "I actually don't think about actors when I'm writing. I try not to. I try to really just live through the characters in the writing process, then come out the other side and go, 'How is this gonna work? Who are we getting for this?' And Matt immediately popped into my head".

Nolan needed someone with the "empathetic ability to draw the audience into a character's dilemma", and felt Matt had shown he could do that across a wide range of roles over the years.

He said, "He has that openness. He brings the audience with him. But he also can project an iconic, frankly, superhero presence. He's, you know, he's the guy from The Martian or We Bought a Zoo and Good Will Hunting, and then he's Jason Bourne. And to be able to do such disparate things and sort of fuse them into a character was exactly what I needed".

Matt previously revealed he got back to his high school weight ahead of shooting The Odyssey. He told Jason and Travis Kelce on their New Heights podcast earlier this year, "I was in really good shape. I lost a lot of weight. (Nolan) wanted me lean but strong. Just because of this other thing that I did with my doctor, I stopped eating gluten".

"I used to walk around at between 185 and 200, and I did that whole movie at 167. And I haven't been that light since high school. So it was a lot of training and a really strict diet", he added.

She told IANS, "We are definitely very resilient. Yes, there are issues that we are tackling on a daily basis. But then, whatever we can do in our capacity, we need to first start with that. Like pointing fingers at other people, it's very easy to push the blame or to point fingers at somebody else".

She further mentioned, "But what are you doing in your own house? Are you saving water? Or are you happily having shower baths for hours at a stretch? Are you actually taking care of electricity? Are you actually ensuring that hygiene of your homes is maintained? What are you doing for your health and wellness? So, it's each person's individual effort that eventually will lead to a cumulative healthy nation. And I feel, it's not too late to start. We can start now, but we have to start".

Meanwhile, 'The India Story' also stars Shreyas Talpade in the lead role. The film explores the issue of pesticide misuse, food adulteration, and their impact on public health.

Kajal Aggarwal plays Advocate Archana, a lawyer who joins forces with an ordinary citizen seeking justice against powerful corporate interests accused of endangering lives. Through its courtroom drama and investigative narrative, the film aims to spark discussion about food safety, corporate accountability, and environmental concerns.

Mumbai, July 8 (IANS) Actress Geetika Vidya, who essays the role of Paramjit Kaur Khalra, the wife of Diljit Dosanjh’s character, Jaswant Singh Khalra in 'Satluj', used social media to share an emotional note amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the drama.

On Wednesday, Geetika took to her official Instagram handle and revealed that there are mixed feelings as 'Satluj' has finally been able to reach some viewers, despite facing so many hurdles.

Geetika wrote on the photo-sharing app, “For four years, we carried this film quietly in our hearts, hoping for the day we could finally share it with you. Today, that hope feels both fulfilled and unfinished, as Satluj finds its voice in some places while remaining silenced in others.(sic)"

“It was an honour to step into the world of Bibi Paramjit and to stand beside @diljitdosanjh in telling the story of Jaswant Singh Khalra ji and the family whose love endured what words never fully can describe," she went on to add.

Earlier, veteran actor Kanwaljit Singh, who is seen as DGP Bitta in 'Satluj', revealed that he received praises for his character from Naseeruddin Shah and Shashi Ranjan.

"I was quite surprised to receive his call. After that, I even got a call from Naseer (Naseeruddin Shah). He started speaking in Punjabi, which he speaks rather poorly. I believe he is the 'God of acting' and hence anything coming from him has a lot of impact", the 'Mrs' actor told IANS.

Following a long battle against censorship, 'Satluj' finally got a digital release on ZEE5. However, it was taken down in India only 2 days after release.

A private complaint was lodged against Haasan earlier in this regard with the Kanakapura town court. However, following his election to the Rajya Sabha from Tamil Nadu, the case has now been transferred to the 42nd People's Representatives' Court in Bengaluru. After taking up the matter, the special court has adjourned the matter to July 22.

Haasan sparked a major linguistic controversy in May 2025 when he claimed that "Kannada is born out of Tamil" during a promotional event in Chennai. This provoked widespread protests in Karnataka, demands for an unconditional apology, and boycott threats against his film "Thug Life".

He refused to apologise, stating his remarks were made out of affection and based on historians' views. He subsequently clarified that politicians -- including himself -- are unqualified to debate language origins, and that the issue should be left to linguists.

The row also prompted backlash from Karnataka's Chief Minister and political leaders, and drew rebukes from the Karnataka High Court regarding public figures hurting linguistic sentiments. The controversy recently resurfaced in July after a private complaint was filed against him in a court regarding these remarks.

The Karnataka High Court had earlier rapped Haasan, noting that one apology could have solved everything. "Nobody has the right to hurt sentiments," it said, asking him whether he was a historian or linguist? The bench also expressed its displeasure. stating that the circumstances were created by the actor.

"A public figure speaks like this at a public forum? You admit your remarks and yet say won't apologise," it said.

On Wednesday, the actress took to the Stories section of her Instagram, and shared a long note in which she shared her advice for the young people.

Sharing his experience of working with a wide range of actors, he told IANS, "One of the greatest joys of filmmaking is that every actor comes with a completely different process, and as a director, part of your job is understanding that process and adapting to it. There is no one-size-fits-all approach. Take Rani, for example. She's an incredibly instinctive actor. On 'Hichki', she spent a lot of time understanding Tourette Syndrome, understanding the character, and just as importantly, understanding what was in my head as a director. We'd spend hours discussing how a scene should feel rather than how it should be performed. Once she internalized the character and found her rhythm, she became incredibly spontaneous. She's not someone who enjoys endless rehearsals. Once she's there emotionally, it's often one or two takes and she's done something magical".

He further mentioned, "On the other hand, someone like Neeraj Kabi loves preparation and rehearsal. He likes knowing every line, every beat, every nuance before stepping onto the floor. That's his process, and it's equally fascinating to watch. Kajol is pure instinct. The camera comes on and she's magic. The camera goes off and she's laughing, reading a book, completely detached from the intensity of the scene she just delivered. Kareena is similarly spontaneous but in a very different way. She'll surprise you with variations and instincts that are uniquely hers. There isn't a heavy method process, but there is tremendous confidence and star instinct".

He shared that Jaideep immerses him in the world of the character, and wants to understand the politics of the place, the climate, the social environment, the ideology, the backstory, the psychology of his character.

He shared, "Then you have actors like Jaideep Ahlawat, who immerse themselves deeply in the world of the character. He wants to understand everything, the politics of the place, the climate, the social environment, the ideology, the backstory, the psychology. By the time he arrives on set, he's done all the homework. Then he becomes a wonderful director's actor because once the foundation is built, he's completely collaborative. Working with newcomers is a very different responsibility altogether. With Junaid in 'Maharaj', I felt a director's role is not just to guide but to protect. Experienced actors know instinctively what to do and what not to do. A newcomer is still discovering that. My responsibility was to create an environment where he could succeed, highlight his strengths and ensure that he was presented in the best possible way. The same applied to Sharvari and Shalini in different ways".

He feels that it is important to give actors the freedom while also providing a strong framework and support system.

He went on, "Then there are actors like Sunny Sir, whose trust is extraordinary. He would understand the scene, understand the emotional logic and then completely commit to the director's vision. That level of trust is a gift. Akshaye Khanna is similarly wonderful to work with, but he likes clarity. Once he understands the scene, he's often a one-take or two-take actor. If you're asking for another take, he'd want to know why, and rightly so. It keeps you sharp as a director because you need to have complete conviction in your choices. And then actors like Tilotama or Dia, who enjoy exploring character histories and emotional backstories, finding the layers that may never even appear on screen but help inform every moment. What I've learned over the years is that directing actors is less about imposing a process and more about understanding each individual's process".

"Every actor is different, every collaboration is different, and that's what keeps it exciting. You're constantly learning, constantly adapting. Ultimately, the magic happens somewhere between preparation and surprise. My job is to create an environment where actors feel safe enough to explore, challenge themselves and take risks. When that happens, something extraordinary can emerge—something neither the actor nor the director could have created alone. That's still the most rewarding part of filmmaking for me", he added.

The car was presented on a day the makers chose to celebrate the film's successful completion of 100 days in theatres.

Taking to its social media timelines, Sivakarthikeyan Productions posted pictures of the film's producer Sivakarthikeyan gifting the car to director Sivakumar Murugesan and wrote, "A special gift for a journey we’ll always be proud of. #ThaaiKizhavi100 #ThaaiKizhavi."

It also said, "100 glorious days of #ThaaiKizhavi. Celebrating this incredible milestone by honouring the artists, technicians, distributors, exhibitors and everyone who made this journey possible. A heartfelt thank you to every soul who stood by the film and made it a Mega Blockbuster. #ThaaiKizhavi100."

It may be recalled that actress Radhikaa Sarathkumar, who had played the lead in the film, had showered praise on the director at the film's success meet that was held some months ago.

Radhika, while speaking at the 'Thaai Kizhavi' success meet, had said, “Kamal Haasan once told me, ‘Radhika, this film should succeed. If the film is good, you will be appreciated, but if the film becomes a success, everyone involved in it, including director Sivakumar Murugesan, will be noticed.’"

The actress had gone on to say,"I strongly feel that Sivakumar Murugesan will create a new wave in cinema just like Bharathiraja sir once did. This film has elevated everyone who worked on it. Right now, the entire industry is talking about the success of Thaai Kizhavi. Producers are even calling theatre owners to check the collections because they are curious about how the film is performing. That itself shows what a big moment this is for all of us in the team."

Pointing out that the film had succeeded commercially even with normal ticket prices, unlike many big-star films that released with higher ticket rates, Radhika Sarathkumar had said, "More importantly, Thaai Kizhavi has touched the core of human emotions. It speaks about people realizing their mistakes and correcting themselves, and in many ways the film conveys a message about men listening to the voice and soul of women, especially in a world where the younger generation is watching and learning."

'Jooti Kasoori' is a Punjabi folk-pop track, and is composed and written by Rehat, with additional lyrics by Panchhi and music production by Agaazz.
