The crisis in the United Democratic Front alliance seems to be showing no sign of abating with Kerala Congress(M) chairman K M Mani on Friday issuing an ultimatum to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy demanding the ouster of Government Chief Whip P C George. Mani conveyed the decision to Chandy over phone, ruling out any softening of his stand on George.

On instructions from the Chief Minister, Industries Minister P K Kunjalikutty tried to convince K M Mani to bury the hatchet with P C George but to no avail, reports suggest.
