Poll panel goes to president over defiant Khurshid (Second Lead)

New Delhi, Feb 11 Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid appeared headed for trouble Saturday as the poll panel sought President Pratibha Patil's "immediate and decisive intervention" following his defiant stand on quota for backward Muslims in Uttar Pradesh despite its censure. The president has sent the letter to the prime minister's office for "appropriate action".
