Candidate campaigns on buffalo in UP

Basti, January 27 (ANI): Keeping in tune with unusual ways of campaigning ahead of polls, a candidate from Basti Sadar assembly constituency on Wednesday in Uttar Pradesh, shunning luxury vehicles, campaigned on a buffalo. Ghamalu Chaudhary from regional Prajatantrik Congress party cited poverty and soaring inflation for his move. While a few local residents dubbed it as a mere publicity gimmick, others were impressed by the candidate's unique idea of connecting to the people.
