Congress expects sweeping win in Punjab

Patiala, January 30 (ANI): While Voting began in Punjab for 117 assembly constituencies amidst tight security arrangements on Monday, the Congress expects a sweeping victory in the elections. Speaking to mediapersons, Minister of State for External Affairs, Preeneet Kaur was confident of the victory of the congress in Punjab. Punjab Congress Committee president Capt. Amrinder Singh also expressed confidence of the party s win. In Punjab, the main battle is expected between the ruling Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Bharatiya Janata Party alliance and the Congress party.
