Congress welcomes Gujarat HC verdict

New Delhi, January 18 (ANI): In a major blow to the Gujarat government led by chief minister Narendra Modi, the Gujarat High Court today upheld the appointment of the state's Lokayukta, retired judge RA Mehta. The State government will appeal against this verdict in Supreme Court tomorrow. Meanwhile Congress Spokesperson Rashid Alvi said that the row over Lokayukta s appointment by the Gujarat Governor Kamla Beniwal had also exposed BJP s double face.
