Court orders Mohamed Nasheed s arrest

Male, February 09 (ANI): The Criminal Court of Maldives has today ordered the arrest of ousted President Mohamed Nasheed, after his supporters rioted through the streets of the capital and seized some remote police stations to demand his restoration. The judge who ordered arrest was sacked by Nasheed. The court has also ordered the arrest of the Ex Defence minister of the country. The remark of Nasheed, that he was forced out of power at gunpoint, prompted clashes between police and his angry supporters on Wednesday.
