Guj Lokayukta appointment upheld, Cong targets Modi

New Delhi/ Lucknow, January 18 (ANI): In a major setback to the Gujarat government led by chief minister Narendra Modi, the Gujarat High Court today upheld the appointment of the state's Lokayukta, retired judge RA Mehta. The state government had earlier challenged Governor Kamla Beniwal's appointment of Justice (retired) RA Mehta as state s Lokayukta, deeming the move unconstitutional and unilateral. The Congress expressed happiness over the judgement and targeted Modi saying that he is going to get many more jolts in the future.
