Christ Church is a landmark building in Shimla that is not-to-be-missed. The two other popular churches in the city are Roman Catholic Cathedral and the other being St. Michael's Cathedral.
Shimla State Museum is a prime destination in the place that displays a range of beautiful painting, magnificent sculptures, photographs, handicrafts and coins. There is also a Library in the museum that holds manuscripts and historical books. The Shimla State Museum is open on all days except Monday and draws Historians from all over the world.
The Ridge is big open place located in the centre of the town and offers the most panoramic view of the snow capped mountain ranges. The Shimla Ridge is also a favorite spot for visitors for leisure walks and the place remains crowded at all times. The famous Summer Festival of Shimla also takes place here.
The Mall Road is the main shopping area of the place that is lined with eating joints, restaurants, banks and other commercial centres. This is one place you cannot miss-out.
The Jhakoo Temple is a temple in honour of Lord Hanuman. It is also the highest point in Shimla that offers the most picturesque view of the surrounding hills and mountain ranges. The view from this place during sunrise and sunset is simply spectacular. The temple has a 108 feet tall statue of Lord Hanuman and holds immense religious significance for Hindus. Connected by a ropeway, the Jhakoo Temple is an important visiting site among tourists.
