Akhilesh s U turn on cars for poor MLAs

 
 

Lucknow, July 04 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav today took a U turn on his decision offering MLA s to buy cars using their constituency funds, after receiving stern criticism from all quarters of the political fraternity. Akhilesh took back his decision citing newspaper reports to be the main reason for the U turn. The controversial decision would have allowed MLA s in Uttar Pradesh to buy a car worth Rs. 20 lakh each, from their constituency funds, that would have cost the state a whopping Rs. 81 crore.
