Arm dealers to Maoists nabbed in UP

Bulandshahr, May 14 (ANI): Acting on a tip off, police in Bulandshahr of Uttar Pradesh arrested two men involved in illegally supplying arms to the Maoists. Briefing the reporters, Senior Superintendent of Police, Gulab Singh said that the arrested men were identified as Rajkumar and Tulsi, and three foreign made pistols were seized from them. One of the arrested accused said that they had purchased the arms from Jaithra region. Despite strong measures initiated by the Central Government to crush the ultras, the Maoist insurgency has spread into the interiors of central and eastern states of India.
