Army prepares to tackle avalanches
Srinagar, January 27 (ANI): In the wake of the heavy snowfall and several casualties caused by snow avalanches in Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian army personnel are undergoing training to overcome the natural calamity. The Third National Rifles in southern Kashmir has formed a 20 member team with special training and equipment to rescue civilians trapped in snow avalanches areas. Reportedly, quick action team has been kept on high alert after the recent snow avalanches that hit the state resulted in the missing of five Border Security Force men.
