B.D. Sharma comes in strong defence of tribals
Raipur, May 5 (ANI): Maoist appointed mediator, B.D. Sharma has stressed on the need to review cases against tribals by a state committee, as they have been ripped off their basic rights. Interacting with reporters in Raipur, Sharma condemned the unethical arrest of several tribals across the state and demanded a detailed inquiry into these cases. Sharma preferred not to comment on the release of district collector, Alex Paul Menon, insisting that his work as a mediator is over. Sharma further added that tribal people are not poor but are rather deprived of their land rights and their lands, mainly by fraud.
