Coalgate: BJP stalls Parliament
New Delhi, Aug 21 (ANI): Main opposition, the Bharatiya Janata Party today stalled both Houses of Parliament for the day over the Comptroller and Auditor Generals (CAG) report on the allocation of coal blocks, infamously named the Coalgate scam. The BJP led NDA demanded Prime Minister Manmohan Singhs immediate resignation, while Left parties wanted the government to spell out its stand on the three CAG reports. As soon as the Lok Sabha met for the day, opposition members trooped into the well raising slogans to trap the government on the basis of the CAG reports, forcing the Parliament to be adjourned.
