Congress hits back at TMC

Kolkata, January 7 (ANI): Hours after Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee threatened to quit alliance with the Congress, the central party hit back at its crucial ally. Addressing the press today, Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi sought to play down the rift but categorically said the party was not scared of anyone. Banerjee had earlier in the day attacked the Congress saying that the party has intentionally carried out false propaganda since her party, the Trinamool Congress, opposed the government on several issues.
