Dhoni's bat that hit WC winning runs on display

Mumbai, November 19 (ANI): Cricket legend Kapil Dev and Suresh Raina unveiled the bat used by skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni in his unbeaten innings of 91 runs against Sri Lanka in the World Cup Finals on April 2 this year. The bat on display was bought at an auction by R K Global, a stock brokerage firm, for a price of 7.2 million rupees. The money would go to a charitable trust run by Dhoni's wife, Sakshi. Speaking at the event, Kapil said that during his time, when India won their first World Cup in 1983, the BCCI had hardly any finances to celebrate the win.
