Home Min answerable on AFSPA: Army Chief
New Delhi, October 25 (ANI): Army Chief General, Vijay Kumar Singh said on Tuesday that the officials of Home Ministry are answerable on the question of revoking the controversial anti militancy law, Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) in Jammu and Kashmir. He said this after meeting Bhutan's King, Jigme Khesaer Namgyal Wangchuck in New Delhi. Though the reason of the Army Chief and Bhutan king's meeting was kept confidential, reports are rife in media that with growing Chinese activities in border areas of Bhutan, the King took up the issue with Singh. Bhutan King and Queen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck arrived in New Delhi on Sunday on a nine day state visit, their first foreign trip after their marriage.
