India blocks web pages spreading panic messages
Srinagar, Aug 21 (ANI): Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology, Sachin Pilot said in Srinagar that India has blocked certain web pages that have allegedly been used by rumour mongers and troublemakers from Pakistan to spread panic messages among the countrys northeastern people residing in major cities across the country. Earlier on Saturday Home Secretary Raj Kumar Singh had disclosed that Pakistan was the origin of the bulk of SMS and MMS transmissions. These SMSes and MMSes had prompted exodus of thousands of people hailing from northeastern states after creating psyche of fear among them.
