India lacks social dev: Meira Kumar

New Delhi, January 24 (ANI): Pointing out the divide between the haves and have nots in India, Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar said despite a tremendous GDP growth, the country lags behind in the social development. Kumar said this while addressing delegates at the Indian Economic Service Golden Jubilee Celebrations in New Delhi on Tuesday. Expressing concern over the problem of poverty, Kumar also stressed that steps are required to eliminate the problem from the country.
