Jan IIP at 6.8% is strong recovery: FM

New Delhi, March 12 (ANI): Commenting on the IIP figure of 6.8 per cent for the month of January, that widely beat estimates, finance minister Pranab Mukherjee said that there is a strong recovery in the backdrop of last December s figure where the IIP grew only by 1.8%. Showing signs of recovery, industrial production gathered pace and grew 6.8 per cent in January, over the previous month, mainly due to improvement in the manufacturing sector.
