Jobless Claims Fall To Lowest Level Since 2008; FedEx Beats Street

Inflation fears remain on the back burner, though prices heated up in November. A second report out of the Labor Department showed a sharp drop in unemployment claims last week. According to the New York Federal Reserve s empire state manufacturing index, the sector grew for a second straight month in December. And shipping giant FedEx beat the street with its quarterly report card.
