Srinagar, February 11 (ANI): The Hurriyat Conference on Saturday called for a one day shutdown to mark the death anniversary of separatist leader Maqbool Bhat, in Jammu and Kashmir. All shops and business establishments remained closed, with city wearing a deserted look as private and public transports were also off the roads. Bhat, founder of the Kashmir National Liberation Front (KNLF), was hanged in the Tihar Jail on February 11, 1984 on charges of killing an Indian diplomat and hijacking an aircraft. He was buried in the jail premises.
