Montek pitches for development

New Delhi, October 22 (ANI): Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia called for effective implementation of developmental schemes while addressing the chief ministers of different states during the National Development Council (NDC) meet in New Delhi today. He stressed on the need to make optimum utilisation of information and technology with an aim to promote transparency and improve the efficacy of the schemes for development. Ahluwalia added that there was a need to bring reforms in the power sector as it was reeling under heavy loss. He added that along with rationing of water, there was a need for efficient use of available water resources.
