Mullaperiyar: Vaiko meets PM

 
 

New Delhi, December 5 (ANI): With Mullaperiyar dam controversy further deepening, MDMK chief Vaiko today met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and asked him to intervene in the matter. Talking to mediapersons, Vaiko alleged that a fear psychosis is being unnecessarily created in minds of people of Kerala by the vested interests. Meanwhile, two Kerala ministers sat on fast today seeking an early solution of the issue. While state's water resource minister PJ Joseph staged protest in Delhi, the finance minister of the state sat on a daylong hunger strike in Kerala's Idukki district.
