But little did the filmmaker know, that his bold filmmaking would manage to shock him as well. The film based on the life of controversial actress Silk Smitha has now irked her brother V Naga Vara Prasad. He has now sent a legal notice to Milan and producer Ekta Kapoor for making the film without the family's permission. Silk Smitha, whose original name is Vijayalakshmi, hailed from Kovvali village near the famous Kolleru Lake in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. Her family still lives in the village, where her brother is a semi literate agriculturist. Vara Prasad, the only brother of Smitha, said that the family and relatives were upset with the news about a film on his sister with obscene content. Prasad also made it clear that the family was not looking for any monetary gain. "We don't need anything from them. We just want them not to hurt us and our relatives," he stated. He said the family would do its best to prevent release of the film on Dec. 2, the birthday of Silk Smitha.
