Noida: Land acquisition in 3 villages cancelled

Allahabad, October 21 (ANI): In a major setback to Mayawati, the Allahabad High Court today ordered her government to return land to farmers in three villages Yusufpur Chak Shahberi, Asdullapur and Devla, in the Noida land row case. According to the verdict, farmers of other villages will get 10 per cent of developed land and enhanced compensation. The Allahabad High Court order was passed by a specially constituted three judge bench comprising Justices Ashok Bhushan, S U Khan and V K Shukla. The Judges acted on the writ petition of 491 farmers who had challenged the acquisition of land by the state government.
