Outrage against possible ban on 'Geeta' in Russia

New Delhi/Kolkata, December 19 (ANI): One of the holiest Hindu scriptures, the 'Bhagwad Geeta' is facing a legal ban in Russia as a Siberian Court is going to deliver judgment on the concerned lawsuit. Extremely angered at this move, Parliamentarians across political lines today asked the government to urgently intervene in this regard and ensure that the rights of Hindus are protected in Russia. Agitated MPs forced the adjournment of the Lok Sabha till 2 pm after Biju Janata Dal leader Bhartruhari Mahtab raised the issue in the house. The BJP condemned the Russian government's move to brand the Geeta as extremist literature.
