Political mercury rises over Khurshid s quota remarks

Lucknow/Rae Bareilly, February 12 (ANI): Political mercury has further risen over Salman Khurshid s quota remarks as the Election Commission has filed a complaint against him to the President after he had said he would continue to pursue nine percent reservation for minorities even if it hangs him. Defending him strongly, Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh said this move of the EC impinges upon the right of political parties to make electoral promises. Meanwhile undeterred by the strong criticism Khurshid continued to blow the reservation bugle during his poll campaign in Rae Bareilly.
