The plight of Baloch women

Balochistan, December 06: In March 2010, the European Organization of Pakistani Minorities, an NGO, expressed concern over the plight of Baloch women in Balochistan as army officials were taking them to torture cells, raping them and using them as sex slaves. One such tragic case was that of Zarina Mari, a 23 year old schoolteacher from Quetta who was abducted and tortured by Pakistani army in 2005. There are many Baloch women like Zarina Mari, who continue to fall victims of prolonged volatility and aggression in Balochistan, Pakistan
