BMW 1 Series (2021) Facelift • Price, Variants & Specifications
BMW is all set to launch its 1 Series facelift in India. It will debut in the Geneva Motor Show in the coming month and will probably arrive in India later this year. This car is a premium hatchback and in fact remains the only rear drive hatch in the market. Several changes and modifications have been made to the exterior design as well as the features of the car.

You can choose from four different petrol engines and four different diesel engines in the new BMW 1 Series. All of these engines range from 1.5 to 2.0 liters. One variant comes equipped with a new 1.5 liter three cylinder turbo petrol engine that delivers a power of 109 hp and a maximum torque of 180 Nm. The diesel version of this engine generates 160 hp of power and 270 Nm of torque. Apart from these, the company will continue to offer the existing 1.6 liter petrol and 2.0 liter turbo diesel engines in India. You can choose from two different transmissions for all the engines. These are the six speed manual transmission or the eight speed automatic transmission.

Quite a few changes can be seen in the new BMW 1 Series (facelift). In fact, the company has brought about quite a few important changes in the style and look of the car. Bigger air intakes and revised kidney grille dominate the front fascia of the car. The newly added chrome accents increase the stylish look. While the former model had a triangular grille, the newly incorporated grille better represents the style and philosophy of the company. The greatest improvement is noticed in the angular headlights which come with LED daytime running lights and can be upgraded to full LED as an option. A horizontal line has been added so that the car gets a broader and bigger look. The flared wheel arches add much needed muscle and presence to the car. Finally, significant changes are also visible at the rear of the car. While the outgoing models had small rear lights, the facelift version comes with the signature wraparound taillights of BMW.
The modifications have continued in the interior of the car. New upholstery imparts a stylish look to the car and subtle changes are visible on the design of the dashboard. It now has a piano black finish and chrome accents are added around the buttons. The dual zone climate control ensures the comfort of the passengers and the 8.8 inches touch screen comes with optional navigation system.
Features and specifications
The BMW 1 Series facelift version has several features to help in easy and comfortable driving and small modifications are noticeable here as well. Bay parking is now included in the parking assist of the car as has the parallel parking. Radar based active cruise control makes driving this car super easy. The new version also offers stop and go button.
