Chevrolet Enjoy [2015 - 2017] • Price, Variants & Specifications
Chevrolet Enjoy isn’t the best looking car in the market. It isn't a powerful performer either. But as Chevrolet markets, if you believe in ‘happiness in togetherness,’ this car is worth every dime you would spend. The spacious car can easily accommodate 7 to 8 passengers, making it an ideal choice for large families or as a commercial vehicle. It’s handling and travelling comfort is second to none in the segment, and as impressive are its safety and security features. The seatings arrangement is largely flexible, and the revamped interior of 2015 model adds a premium feel to the car. Aggressively priced from ₹6.24 lakh, Chevrolet Enjoy is a viable option if you are looking for an affordable large car with decent looks, satisfactory performance and a superior travelling comfort.
‘It is spacious,’ that’s the first thought crossing your mind when you look at the 8-seater Chevrolet Enjoy with a length of 4,305 mm, width of 1,680 mm, height of 1,750 mm and a wheelbase of 2,720 mm. While Enjoy’s exterior isn't exactly a head-turner, it manages to look elegant with some decent proportions and a few flowing lines on the side.
The front is marked by the signature Golden Chevrolet Bowtie affixed on a chrome surrounded three-dimensional grille which sits atop the front bummer. The bumper is accentuated by a meshed air damper enveloped in a chrome plating and ‘leafy’ fog lamps on either ends. Growing out of the 3-D grille is a swoosh style, clear-lens, wrap-around headlamps with a triple-pod design for turn indicator, high & low beam. A crisp shoulder line, running from the edge of headlamps to the tail end and a trapezoid shaped crease linings on the bonnet, adds an agile stance to the otherwise simple design.
The flat hatched rear side of Chevrolet Enjoy comes with decent looking tail lamps and a stop lamp mounted on a peak-cap visor fixed atop the rear windscreen. The windscreen has got a rear viper and washer, facilitating a clear back-side visibility. A chrome garnished plate displaying the Enjoy logo sits atop the license plate. Customers can additionally add a tail lamp garnish which makes the lamp to stand out even when not lit.
The 2013 model Enjoy was widely criticised for its cheap-looking interior. Chevrolet has appeased all those critics with the revamped interior of 2015 model. A richly crafted, dual tone design replaces the earlier cluttered look of shades and textures. A three-spoke sporty steering wheel with piano black and silver plastic accents and enhanced with tilt-steering functions and audio controls ousts the old steering wheel. The golden Chevrolet bowtie embossed on the floating horn is also a welcome change. The doors handles, AC vents, gear knob goes premium with chrome highlights while the parking brake and the door arm rests gets a gloss black finish.
A new leatherette and fabric upholstered seats sits inside the old high-roof design that lends enough headroom space for all the occupants. The theatre seating arrangement creates large leg-space, while large side windows and Swing-type Rear Quarter Glass provide an uninterrupted view of the outside world for all occupants. The seat flexibility also allows you to double up the 3rd row seats to find about 630 litres of luggage space and when unfolded, it can be comfortably accessed through a wide aisle between the second row seats.
The air-conditioning of Chevrolet Enjoy is one of the best in segment, with independent rear evaporators ensuring powerful, quick and efficient cabin cooling for all the vehicle occupants. A multipurpose 12V Accessory Power Outlet finds its place besides the 3rd row seats, ensuring your laptops and devices remain charged on the go. All the windows and the rear-viewing mirrors are power-adjustable.
Engine: Chevrolet Enjoy comes with two engine options. First and notably, the 1.3-litre turbo-charged diesel engine longitudinally placed like in conventional utility vehicles. Produced at GM’s Indian facility, the engine delivers maximum power of 74.8 PS @ 4,000 rpm and maximum torque of 172.5 Nm @ 1,750 rpm. It has a slight turbo-lag but once on the move, the engine goes into a refined smooth run.
The four-cylinder 1.4-litre petrol engine has maximum power of 100.2 PS @ 6,000 rpm and maximum torque of 131 Nm @ 4,400 rpm. The petrol variant is slightly more powerful and little more well-suited for city drives.
Ride comfort and Handling: McPherson struts in front and a five-link suspension at the rear working in tandem absorbs surface aberrations very well, thus providing excellent ride quality over varied road conditions. Gas filled shock absorbers at either end further smoothens the ride, and the rear-wheel drive facilities an evenly distribution of load between the front and rear wheels making the vehicle more stable.
Safety and security: Chevrolet Enjoy’s Safe Body Cage structure built of high-strength collision beams, in-built crumple zones and impact beams in doors can withstand great amount of impact. Further safety features include an ABS brake with EBD(Electronic Brake force Distribution) technology, Dual Front Air Bags, and Rear Park Assistance. A Remote Key Locking & Un-locking System with an Electronic Anti-theft System adds to the security.

Chevrolet Enjoy comes with a standard three-year/100,000 kilometres warranty. Additionally, customers can opt for a Complete Car Programme which assures a low cost of maintenance along with a 24x7 free roadside assistance, free pick and drop of vehicles belonging to female customers.
