Honda first introduced Jazz in India in 2009, now we have the third generation Jazz, the facelift, it is convenient to call a new Jazz as it gets new features. The new Jazz looks more masculine with 15” alloy. The LED light guides on the tail lamps and new paint options are available; that is red and silver.
Specification & Variants
The availability of variants have reduced from 12 to 7, three diesel and four petrol. The 1.2 litre i –VTEC, 4- cylinder petrol engine provides a power of 90PS at 110 Nm of torque. We have the five speed manual transmission. The seven speed automatic version comes as CVT and this is available only on top variant. Here, we have the F1 inspired paddle shift.
The 1.5 litre i–DTEC, 4 – cylinder turbo charged diesel engine delivers maximum power of 100 PS at 200 Nm of torque. It is available in six speed manual transmission.

The aerodynamically enhanced new Jazz carries the Mini MPV like appearance from the old model with advanced features. The wheel arches and the larger windows make the car look big. The sleek front grille, side character lines, dynamic alloy wheel, rear LED wing light, Chrome door hands and especially the design give it a sporty look.
Honda Jazz claims a sufficient boot capacity of 354 litres. It can be increase by folding the rear seats.
Fuel Tank Capacity
Honda Jazz comes with a fuel tank capacity of 40 litres.
The new Jazz is taller and wider comparing the old model. The cabin space is increased and the cabin seems similar to that of Honda City. Honda Jazz comes with smart key with push button start, Touchscreen AC controls, Leather wrapped tilt steering wheel, best – in- class space and comfort. Driving is made easy with cruise control. The standard models get 5” display for the rear camera and there is the audio system with USB and Bluetooth. Jazz has the DIGIPAD 2 infotainment and it access connectivity easier. It contains the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Advanced features like navigation, messaging and music are accessible. Four seats can be arranged conveniently according to the need of the passenger; even a bicycle can be transported by folding the rear seat.
The ACE (Advanced Compatibility Engineering Body Structure) Body structure and pedestrian injury mitigation technology minimizes injuries in the event of collision. From the standard variant onwards, we have speed sensing door locks, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, Rear parking sensors and camera.
Honda Jazz comes in five colors. Radiant Red, Lunar Silver, Orchid White, Golden Brown and Modern Steel.
Honda Jazz puts forward a good challenge to Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Volkswagen Polo and Hyundai Elite i20. Honda Jazz is a sensible hatch among its competitors. The engines are refined and the features are excellent. Apart from these, Honda’s reliability makes Jazz a favorite in its segment.
