Hyundai comes again with its favorite family car the New Santro. It is excellent in design and comfort. Once again Santro is here to rule the Indian roads as the family car. The interior and exterior of new Santro reminds us the first generation i10.
Specification & Variants
Hyundai Santro comes in two engine options, one petrol and CNG with five variants. These are D-Lite, Era, Magna, Sportz and Asta. Petrol has both manual and automatic transmissions while CNG has manual transmission only. The 1.1 litre, four cylinder petrol engine surprises with its performance and fuel efficiency. It produces maximum power of 69 PS at 5,500rpm and maximum torque of 99Nm at 4,500rpm. It is mated to five speed manual transmission and Smart automatic transmission. The CNG offers a maximum power of 59PS and maximum torque of 84Nm. It has only five speed manual transmission.
The modern design itself shows the confidence of New Santro. The Cascade grille, high perched fog lamps, stylish headlamps and tail lamps, ORVM with electrically adjustable turn indicators, dual tone body colored bumpers with reflector all give it an excellent appearance. Along with these, the body colored door handles and z- shaped character lines make it stylish.

The new Santro provides 235 litres of boot space and can be extended by folding the rear seat.
Hyundai Santro petrol has the fuel storage of 35 litres and that of CNG is 60 litres.
New Santro offers very spacious cabin that makes long drives more enjoyable. The central console claims an elephant inspired unique style. It offers a space for the idol of your favorite deity. There is sufficient space for the bottles and cups in the interior. The 7” touchscreen infotainment has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and both come as first in segment. It has the MID screen, steering mounted audio and Bluetooth controls, voice recognition button on steering; all these add to the convenience and comfort. It contains power outlets and USB port, rear AC vents, user friendly power window switches, rear wiper with washer and keyless entry to enhance the comfort of passengers.
Hyundai has provided driver airbag, ABS with EBD as standard across all variants. Other than these, speed sensing auto door lock and impact sensing auto door unlock, rear parking camera with display and sensors are included as safety features. The top Asta variant has two airbags.
The new Hyundai Santro can be had in seven colors. Typhoon Silver, Polar White, Stardust, Imperial Beige, Martina Blue, Fiery Red and Diana Green.
The new Santro competes in the market with Datsun Go, Maruti Suzuki WagonR, Celerio and Tata Tiago. With its reputation as the family car Santro can be a challenge for WagonR, Celerio and Tiago.
