The much awaited Maruti Cervo is all set to make an appearance in 2014. Considered to be a replacement for the Maruti 800, this entry-level compact hatchback is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 1.5-2.0 lakh. Billed as the most affordable hatchback, the car is ready to take on the likes of likes of Tata Nano and Hyundai Eon.

Engine and performance
The hatchback is expected to come fitted with a 0.7 litre petrol engine. The engine with a displacing capacity of 660cc is capable of generating an impressive 60 bhp and a maximum torque of 64 Nm. The variable Valve Timing Technology is used and it enhances the power, torque and mileage. The VVT engine ensures better fuel efficiency and cuts carbon emission considerably. The power is distributed to the wheels through a four speed transmission. The car is expected to deliver a mileage of around 25kmpl. The car is expected to reach the 100 kmph mark in 25 seconds and the maximum speed may be in the region of 110 kmph.
The car has got attractive design and the exterior looks sporty and unique with its gracious curves and flow lines. The eye-shaped headlight-cluster and honeycomb radiator grille with chrome strip give the car an appealing look. The stylish fog lamps and tail lamps are attractive.
