The Nissan Note has a dynamic look which reflects its compact and lightweight character. The most striking feature which grabs your attention is the character line called the Squash line that seems to almost define the car. The distinctive front grille is flanked by two prominent headlights. The body is designed on aerodynamic lines and the rear combination lamps supply the final touch to the design.
The interior of the car is comfortable and spacious. The sporty looking dashboard is mounted with rounded instrument dials and a touch screen for the infotainment system. The flowing line above the instrument panel is inspired by ripples in sand. The seats are comfortable and the car has ample legroom and headroom to accommodate five passengers. The overall design conveys a sense of luxury and convenience.
Features & Specifications
The Nissan Note is packed with a variety of features ranging from a number of storage places to electrically operated outside rear view mirrors, power steering and power windows. There is a stop/ start feature, six airbags and cruise control while the highest trim level has keyless entry. But the most striking features are the safety features which are a first for a small car of this segment. The Around View monitor utilizes cameras and sensors to heighten the visibility and allow for parallel parking and parking in tight places. In addition, the car is equipped with what is called a safety shield. It is a combination of Blind spot warning system, Lane departure warning and an Advanced moving object detection system. All these have vastly reduced the possibility of bumps and scratches. The car also benefits from the latest version of the Nissan connect satellite navigation system.
Comparison to other cars in the same segment
The Nissan Note fares quite well in its competition with other cars. The greatest advantage is of course the advanced safety features which are unusual in a car of this segment. The engine is also powerful, though you can get more powerful engine in some of the other cars in this segment.
The first generation of the Nissan Note was unveiled at the Geneva motor show in 2012 and has become quite popular in the international market. It is the second generation Nissan Note with more developed engine and more advanced safety features which is expected to be launched in the Indian market.
