Z900RS is Kawasaki’s entry into the retro styled motorcycle with modern touches. The old school design makes it elegant with classic round headlamp, wide and flat handlebar, twin pod instrument cluster and a teardrop-shaped fuel tank. The LCD instrument console sits between the retro-styled analogue speedometer and tachometer. It becomes modern with the LED lights, slipper assist clutch and multi-level traction control.
Z 900 RS comes with radial – mount front brakes, the Monobloc front brake callipers offer firm initial touch, the level of brake force is very easy to control with superb performance. The machined Monobloc callipers feature an alumite coating and are laser-etched with a Kawasaki logo, adding to the bike’s high-quality sporty looks. The In-Line Four tuned engine delivers strong low-mid range torque. Both engine and chassis category was carefully designed to not be too quick, making it easier to feel at one with the bike. Horizontal Back-link rear suspension, which we see in Kawasaki’s super sport and super naked bikes, offer a higher level of sporty riding potential.
The 948 cc, liquid cooled, 4-stroke, In-Line Four DOHC, 16 valves, fuel injected engine produces maximum power of 111PS at 8,500 rpm and maximum torque of 98.5Nm at 6,500 rpm. It has 73.4 x 56mm Bore x Stroke and 10.8:1 compression ratio. Electric digital ignition comes with 6 speed transmission. Trellis, high-tensile steel frame, 41mm inverted fork with compression and rebound damping and spring preload adjustability and Horizontal Back-link, gas-charged shock with rebound damping and spring preload adjustability provide stability and comfort.
Tubeless tyres have measurements 120/70ZR17 M/C (58W) in front and the rear tyre measures 180/55ZR17 M/C (73W).
