Features

Himalayan is Royal Enfield’s versatile motorcycle capable of taking riders everywhere- on road or off- road. Natural upright riding position and long travel suspension make the rides comfortable. Grounded stance and terrain tested suspension make it a real off- roader. The half- duplex split chassis that is welded with great precision using robots gives an additional strength and responsive handling in all riding condition. Royal Enfield introduces monoshock suspension in the rear for the first time. Wider tyres and excellent ground clearance provide an extra confidence to the off- riders. Upright riding position is maintained with optimised handlebar along with narrow fuel tank that allows the riders from sitting to a standard ride position. The headlamp placed on top of the fuel tank gives accurate lights on night riding. The seat of the Himalayan is tapered at the front giving the rider easy access on ground and the seat is wide at the rear providing comfortable ride. LCD instrument cluster is given with analogue speedometer, tachometer and digital odometer.

Specification

The 411cc, single cylinder, 4 stroke air cooled fuel injection engine produces maximum power of 24.5 bhp at 6500 rpm and maximum torque of 32Nm at 4250 rpm. It comes with 78 x 86mm Bore x Stroke with 9.5:1 compression ratio. Digital electronic ignition is provided. Wet multi-plate clutch is mated to 5 speed constant mesh transmission. It comes with half- duplex split cradle chassis. Telescopic forks in front and monoshock with linkage in rear give excellent stability.

Tyres

The front tyre has the size 90/90-21” and the rear tyre has 120/90-17”. 2 piston floating caliper disc in front and single piston floating caliper disc in the rear is given. Dual channel ABS also is provided for additional safety.

Battery And Light

Himalayan comes with 12V, 8 Ah battery. 12V, 60/55W halogen headlamp with LED tail lamp is given. 12V, 10W turn signal indicator is provided.
