Royal Enfield Twins Continental GT 650 • Price, Variants & Specifications


Royal Enfield has launched its café racer inspired Continental GT Twin 650 in India. “It is the modern interpretation of a cultural icon and expression of free spirit and a declaration of style”, as the company claims. The new Continental GT 650 draws inspiration from the café racer culture of 1950’s and 60’s as it recaptures the spirit of the Continental GT 250. It comes as the prefect blend of tradition and modernity with its sculpted tank and a tucked in riding position. The frame of the new Continental GT is developed by Harris Performance and it is thoroughly tested for durability. It offers superior balance and handling with finely tuned piggy-back gas charged suspensions. 

An oil cooled parallel twin engine is simple and easy to maintain and it provides real world riding experience if you are in city traffic or in cruising. For the first time Royal Enfield uses a six speed gear box that is specially developed for the 650 Twin and it is augmented by a slipper clutch. Disc brakes with dual channel ABS ensure safety. 

The new 650 GT Twin follows the predecessor’s style with clip-on handlebars for an optimum blend of steering feel and comfort. The rear-set footrests improve cornering clearance and the rider can merge one with the vehicle for a comfortable ride.


The 648 cc parallel twin, 4 stroke, single overhead cam, air-oil cooled and fuel injected engine produces maximum power of 47bhp at 7250rpm and maximum torque of 52Nm at 5250rpm. It has 78 x 67.8mm Bore x Stroke and 9.5:1 compression ratio. Slipper clutch is mated to 6 speed transmission. Twin cradle tubular steel frame, front forks suspension and gas charged 5 step adjustable twin shocks in rear ensure stability and comfort.


Continental GT 650 Twins comes has the tyre measurements 100/90-18 in front and 130/70-18 in rear.


Brembo 2 piston callipers floating disc brakes in front and single piston calliper disc in rear are provided for the safety and it is enhanced Bosch dual channel ABS


Continental GT 650 Twins comes with digital spark ignition. Halogen headlamp, LED tail lamp and LED turn signal indicators are given.
