IIT (Indian Institute of Technology)

IIT is the most popular and renowned engineering institute in India. The name IIT doesn’t refer to any single institution but a group of autonomous engineering and technology institutes of technological studies. NIT was founded by the first prime minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru. This was the first among the 17 regional engineering colleges founded by him.
