The second half of the month also promises some amazing movies—from horror to comedy to social issues—there’s all in store. We are expecting some exciting and thought-provoking films to enjoy with friends and family. Let's check out the releases in the second half of the month.
Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship
Releasing on February 21, 2020, this film is a pure horror movie, and promises to unfold cinematic magic onscreen. Helmed by Bhanu Pratap Singh and jointly produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Shashank Khaitan, the film is based on a true accident that took place offshore Mumbai. The film stars Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Ashutosh Rana in lead roles.
Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan
Directed and written by Hitesh Kewalya, the film focuses on same-sex marriage. Bankrolled by Aanand L. Rai and Bhushan Kumar, this family entertainer is slated to hit the theatres on February 21, 2020. It features Ayushmann Khurrana, Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao and Maanvi Gagroo in pivotal roles.
The Hundred Bucks
Dushyant Pratap Singh’s film The Hundred Bucks tells the story of one night of a call girl. Starring Kavita Tripathi and Dinesh Bawra in the lead, the film will hit the screens on February 21. The film is written by Vishnupriya Singh.
How just a slap can change a woman’s life is what is being shown in this film, releasing on February 28. Helmed by Anubhav Sinha, the film features Taapsee Pannu in the lead along with Pavail Gulati, Ratna Pathak Shah, Tanvi Azmi, Dia Mirza, and Ram Kapoor among others.
Guns of Banaras
A remake of the Tamil film Polladhavan, Sekhar Suri directed Guns of Banaras is all set to hit the screens on February 28. Starring Karan Nath, the film looks promising from the teaser. Karan plays an angry young man and looks dynamic in action sequences.
Doordarshan, starring Mahie Gill, Dolly Ahluwalia, Rajesh Sharma and Manu Rishi Chadha, is all set to release on February 28. Directed by Gagan Puri, this hilarious flick will take the audience back to the '90s and keep them in splits.
