February 15 : Bollywood’s comedy star Chunky Pandey, who has worked in many great films over the last two decades is now turning to Marathi films. Famously known as Aakhri Pasta in the Housefull franchise, Chunky Pandey, was also seen in a dark character in his previous film ‘Saaho’. Chunky Pandey will make a Marathi film debut with ‘Vikun Taak’.

Chunky Pandey was seen interacting with the media on Friday in Mumbai at the grand premiere of Marathi film ‘Vikun Taak’.

Talking about his debut in Marathi film, Chunky said, “In the last 34 years I am in film Industry. I started my career in 1987. I really feel ashamed that I never got a chance to work in Marathi film. This is my first time I am working in Marathi film. I have given my heart and soul for doing this film. But, when first I heard the script, I refused to sign the film. Even the director was stunned on my refusal. Basically, I am playing the role of an Arabi in the film. And the reason for rejecting was the same. I was scared I might get banned in the Arab country. But I am happy, that my role in the film is very vital.”

Vikun Taak is an upcoming Marathi Language film directed by Poster Boyz fame Sameer Patil and produced by Utung Hitendra Thakur, under the banner of Viva Inen. The film stars Chunky Pandey,Shivraj Vaychal, Hrishikesh Joshi, and Sameer Choughle. Film is slated to release on 14 February 2020.
