April 06 : To support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 9pm 9min call on Sunday, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone switched off the lights of their house in Mumbai and stood in solidarity with rest of the people in India.

The Gully Boy actor shared a beautiful picture on his Instagram handle while he came out to his balcony with a candle in his hand along with wife Deepika.

Deepika Padukone also posted a picture of a candle on her Instagram handle and wrote, “To Good Health, Peace of Mind & the Undying Human Spirit... #weshallovercome #9pm9minutes (sic).”

The husband-wife duo has been quite proactive in spreading awareness about coronavirus while they urge their fans to stay at home to fight coronavirus pandemic. Deepika also took up the Safe Hands Challenge, a WHO initiative to spread awareness. The couple is taking the quarantine one day at a time.

Meanwhile, on the work front, the release of Ranveer’s film '83 was postponed amid the COVID-19 menace. Helmed by Kabir Khan, the film was slated for April 10, 2020 release. While Ranveer plays cricketer Kapil Dev, Deepika portrays his wife Romi Devi in the sports drama.
