June 29 : The worldwide coronavirus pandemic delayed the launch of several smartphones in India. Smartphone makers have, reportedly, lined up several launches in July.
OnePlus budget smartphone
OnePlus’ co-founder and CEO Pete Lau confirmed that OnePlus will debut its budget smartphone in India in July. The company has also created an Instagram account OnePlusLiteZThing that confirms the July launch. However, OnePlus has not revealed the model or its specifications.
Huawei Nova 7i
Huawei Nova 7i smartphone’s launch in India is expected in July. The Chinese tech giant has already launched the smartphone in Malaysia in February this year. The device comes with quad rear cameras and octa-core Kirin 810 SoC. It houses a 4,200mAh battery that supports Huawei's 40W SuperCharge technology. However, an official announcement is awaited.
Poco, which has recently spun-off from Xiaomi, will, reportedly, launch a new smartphone in India in July. The newly independent company had launched Poco X2 in the country earlier this year, and has already increased its price once since then. However, there is a speculation that the company may come with Poco F2 Pro to India, which has already been launched in Europe.
Motorola One Fusion and Motorola Edge Lite
Motorola will reportedly unveil new smartphones in India at an event on July 7. These devices may include the Motorola One Fusion and Motorola Edge Lite. While Motorola One Fusion+ was introduced in the country earlier this month, Motorola Edge+ was launched in India in May.
Redmi 9A, the successor to the Redmi 8A, is likely to launch in India in July. The smartphone will come with MediaTek Helio G25 SoC and quad rear cameras including a 13-megapixel main camera, and a 5-megapixel front camera housed inside the waterdrop-notch along, with a 5,000mAh battery.
