June 30 : Abhishek Bachchan remembers his debut film Refugee as he completes 20 years in Bollywood today. On the special day, the actor shared a heartfelt post on his Instagram, where he writes, “Time flies when you’re having fun! #RoadTo20. Today, 20 years ago JP Dutta’s Refugee released.”
For the last 10 days, Jr Bachchan has been sharing his films and his experiences around them as he captioned them “Road to 20”, which reached its destination on June 30, the day 20 years back when his debut film Refugee was released.
“Your first film is always most dear and special; Refugee was no different. An amazing experience! A newcomer could not have asked for anything else. JP sahab was the best teacher. Caring, nurturing and has since been an amazing guiding force for me,” the actor wrote.
The actor wrote that 20 years down the lane he feels as if he is just getting started. “I have so much more to prove. So much more to do and I can’t wait....And miles to go before I sleep,” he wrote.
Currently, Abhishek is a part of interesting projects like Bob Biswas, which is directed by Diya Annapurna Ghosh and produced by Gauri Khan, Sujoy Ghosh and Gaurav Verma. Bachchan will also be seen in Big Bull directed by Kookie Gulati and co-produced by Ajay Devgn. The film will be released by Disney + Hotstar soon. Abhishek also has Anurag Basu’s Ludo in the pipeline.
