July 08 : As promised, Poco M2 Pro has been launched in India on Tuesday at an online event. It is the third phone in India by Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco—after Poco F1 and Poco X2 Pro. The new Poco phone will be available for purchase on Flipkart from July 14 at 12pm (noon).
Poco, a sub-smartphone brand of Xiaomi, had launched its F1 model as its first offering in the country. Poco M2 Pro is its second smartphone in India his year as the company had launched Poco X2 in India in February this year.
Price in India
In India, Poco M2 Pro’s basic model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage will cost Rs. 13,999. The model with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at Rs. 14,999, while the premium variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage has a price tag of Rs. 16,999.
Poco M2 Pro comes in three colour options—Out of the Blue, Green and Greener, and Two Shades of Black. It comes with P2i nano-coating to protect it from dust and water.
The new handset runs on MIUI 11 for Poco based on Android 10. It sports dual-SIM (Nano), and features a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) display with 20:9 aspect ratio.
The smartphone features an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC, along with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM. Its quad rear camera setup includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5-megapixel macro shooter, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, there is a 16-megapixel camera sensor with a preloaded night mode.
Poco M2 Pro comes with 128GB of UFS 2.1 onboard storage, and a built-in storage that is expandable up to 512GB via a microSD card.
The phone is packed with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. Its connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
