August 07 : While CBI is likely to start investigations into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case today, several developments took place on Thursday by late evening. CBI has already registered an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and five others on the basis of the FIR filed by Bihar Police on his family's complaint. Rhea is also likely to appear before the enforcement directorate today.
Meanwhile, Times Now, which claims to have accessed the late actor’s personal dairy, reported that some pages from the diary had been ripped off. Earlier, the late actor’s former girlfriend Ankita Lokhande had confirmed that Sushant used to maintain a personal diary and regularly write about his personal life.
Reacting to the development, Shekhar Suman took to his Twitter handle and questioned the missing pages. He wrote, “Key pages have gone missing from Sushant's diary where he had named his murderers or perpetrators. I always feared that. Find out the names and hang the murderers. And who tampered with the evidence?? we need an answer asap.” Shekhar Suman, who was seeking a CBI probe into Sushant’s death, was accused of politicising the issue.
In another development, Bihar IPS officer Vinay Tiwari was released by BMC from quarantine this morning on the condition that he will return to Patna by August 8. Other Bihar police officers had already left Mumbai on Thursday.
The CBI has handed the late actor’s case to its Special Investigation Team (SIT) branch. In the FIR filed by the CBI on Thursday, the investigating agency named Rhea, her father Indrajit Chakraborty, mother Sandhya Chakraborty, brother Showik Chkaraborty, Sushant's house manager Samuel Miranda, and Shruti Modi. They have been charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code including abetment of suicide, criminal conspiracy, wrongful restraint/confinement, theft, criminal breach of trust, cheating and other offences.
